In Maharashtra, 16,620 new cases of Corona virus infection were reported on Sunday, which is the highest number of new cases reported on a single day this year. According to the Health Department, 21,34,072 people have recovered so far after recovering from the infection of 8,861 patients in the state. The state has a healthy recovery rate of 92.21 per cent while the death rate is 2.28 per cent. The department said in a statement that there are currently 1,26,231 patients undergoing treatment in Maharashtra. 1,08,381 samples were examined on Sunday. (Photo-ANI)
