Rajasthan Cabinet To Appoint Deceased Udaipur Tailor Kanhaiya Lal's Sons In State Service


Kanhaiya Lal's son Yash Teli is 20 years old and he is studying in commerce second year in BN College.

New Delhi: The Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has decided to give jobs to Yash and Tarun Teli, both sons of tailor Kanhaiya Lal who was beheaded in Udaipur on June 28. The cabinet has approved the proposal of the Home Department to amend the rules for the appointment. The amendment was approved in the cabinet meeting held at 5 pm today under the chairmanship of CM Gehlot. Kanhaiya Lal's son Yash Teli is 20 years old and he is studying in commerce his second year at BN College. 

Kanhaiya was killed inside his shop on June 28 by two men, allegedly for a social media post in support of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who had made controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad.

Chief Minister Gehlot consoled the family members by visiting Kanhaiya Lal's house in Udaipur on June 30. On the same day, he had assured to give jobs to both the sons along with giving a check of 50 lakhs.

Along with this, the cabinet approved the new digital policy on Wednesday. Under the new policy, now websites will also get government advertisements. For advertisement from the government, websites must be registered with DAVP, it will be mandatory for the website to have 50 percent news content and out of that 25 percent of the news content will have to be from Rajasthan.

The cabinet has approved the formation of the Rajasthan College Education Society (Raj-CES) to run new government colleges. The government colleges to be opened in the future will also come under this society. Earlier new medical colleges were also taken under the society.
